![]() | Gary Sheffield, also known as “Sheff,” was a nine-time MLB All-Star Outfielder and Third Baseman who played from 1988–2009. Recognized for his lightning-fast bat speed and iconic waggle, he played for eight different teams, including the Brewers (1988–1991), Padres (1992–1993), Marlins (1993–1998), Dodgers (1998–2001), Braves (2002–2003), Yankees (2004–2006), Tigers (2007–2008), and Mets (2009). Sheffield finished his career with 2,689 hits, 509 home runs, 1,676 RBI, and 253 stolen bases. A World Series champion with the Marlins in 1997, he also won the National League batting title in 1992 while playing for the San Diego Padres.
