![]() | Andres Galarraga, also known as “The Big Cat,” was a five-time MLB All-Star First Baseman who played with the Montreal Expos (1985–1991, 2002), St. Louis Cardinals (1992), Colorado Rockies (1993–1997), and Atlanta Braves (1998, 2000), Texas Rangers (2001), San Francisco Giants (2001, 2003), and Anaheim Angels (2004). Galarraga finished his career with 2,333 hits, 399 home runs, and 1,425 RBI. A legendary figure in Rockies history, he won the NL batting title in 1993 with a .370 average and twice led the National League in home runs and RBIs. His courageous return to the field in 2000 after battling cancer earned him the NL Comeback Player of the Year award.
